Hemp is one of the most versatile and strong natural fibres known to man. This tough and durable natural material has been combined with pure New Zealand Wool and Pure Silk to create a unique hybrid, a whole new type of rug. This collection features 14 superbly stylish designs that are hand knotted in Nepal. These Hemp rugs give an amazingly sensual feel, in one direction the pile feels smooth and silky and in the other direction the pile feels rough and durable. Very nice to walk bare footed upon but please note that these are not as soft as wool or polypropylene, this is a whole new concept in rug construction and is best described as hard wearing and durable yet still funky and stylish. Not recommended for very young children.
